We always hear that live every moment; spend each minute as it is the last one; leave no word unsaid; etc etc. Did we take it seriously before 2020? I guess the answer is No! We were living in the illusion of fulfilment, trying to chase “something” in the rat race, hiding our feelings and ignoring the beauty of life. But I guess, this traumatic year is giving us an opportunity to calm our nerves down and think about our life. It is assisting us to discover the directions of our directionless life.

We are constantly nagging for the caged life of 2020 and ignoring the bright side of the year. Undoubtedly, we are missing the opportunities to discover new places with our friends, eating food from the corner of the street, playing with puppies in the park, etc. However, we are forgetting to acknowledge the perks of working with the comfort of home, saving hours and energy from the traffic jams, enjoying customised schedules and most importantly learning to live with least of amenities.

Every day news headlines of increased cases scream out to spend quality time with people or things which “really matters” rather wasting it. Notifications related to deaths knock our mind to get involved with meaningful conversations rather solely scrolling social media. We are in the eighth month of the year, survived against most of the odds and still strong enough to tolerate this article till the end.

In the end, I suggest you to appreciate the “only” life. You only die once, so live your life till last breath. Make sure the dash between your birth and death won’t be empty. Life is short, strive to acknowledge the fact!
